Job Description
Purpose and Scope:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, credit card processing, monthly posting of Payroll journal entries and other journal entries as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Communicates and interfaces closely with employees, customers, vendors, and company's management teams.
  • Maintains accounting books for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepares and files property tax returns.
  • Applies for, and renews, business licenses and registration.
  • Prepares and files monthly sales tax returns.
  • Organizes and maintains accurate credit card records.
  • Prepares supporting balance sheet and income statement schedules.
  • Prepares documentation for external auditors.
  • Performs ad-hoc projects.
  • All other duties as required.

Job Requirements

Education/ Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite.  Strong Excel skills, required.  Expert in Excel, preferred.
  • 10-key by touch.
  • MAS 500 or equivalent system experience.

Compensation: $25 - $35/hr + BENEFITS - DOE
