Job Description
Customer Quality Engineering Manager
Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Customer Quality Engineering Manager to serve as a key advocate for product quality and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will act as the primary technical liaison on quality matters, ensuring our products meet or exceed customer expectations. You will lead quality initiatives, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and maintain strong relationships with both customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of quality engineers.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns, audits, and technical communications.
- Partner with internal teams—including Failure Analysis, Test Engineering, Product Engineering, and Field Sales—to drive quality improvements and resolve issues.
- Champion and execute corrective and preventive actions in response to field failures, including preparation of 8D reports.
- Implement and enhance systemic and operational quality improvements.
- Coordinate and deliver Product Change Notifications (PCNs) to customers.
- Support and guide customer audits and approvals for Power Integrations (PI) products.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in customer-facing quality engineering roles, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
- Proven expertise in the 8D problem resolution process.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and failure mechanisms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical data clearly and concisely.
- Experience managing and improving quality management systems (QMS).
- Willingness to travel internationally as required to support customer engagements.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Mandarin, both written and spoken, for international customer communication.
The annual base pay range for this position is $158,695- $229,046
