Sr. Program Planner

Job Description
- Develop schedule management processes and guidelines for internal team members including MS Project change control and updating rules
- Drive the implementation of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Consult with Program Managers, technical experts and third-party program management to integrate multiple parallel program dependent initiatives, set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks. Identifying critical path elements and solutions
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive progress and performance, monitor changes and status, develop and facilitate communication.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management system
- Coordinate program timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Monitor the portfolio of programs timelines and deadlines
- Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timeous manner.
- Assist in negotiating hand-offs between program areas regarding technical content and schedules as well as facilitating workaround planning as required
- Work with Engineering, Finance and Business Operations, Program Management and Supplier Chain Management to translate customer requirements into the IMS.
- Recommend actions to keep Programs within budget and completed on time.
- Documenting Program scheduling processes and maintaining records
- Support new Proposal orders
- Assist IPT team in the decision-making processes to mitigate risks and resolve challenges on a day-to-day basis
Job Requirements
- 5 to 8+ years of experience as a program planner/scheduler
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, management, or related discipline
- Expert in Earned Value Management reporting and metrics
- Proven track record of maintaining program schedules and providing performance reports through the project life cycle
- Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP)
- Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software, such as MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan or industry equivalent
- Extensive experience in schedule planning and management
- Ability to keep stakeholders informed of program timelines and changes
- Aerospace industry experience or equivalent experience developing and maintaining program schedules for advanced technology efforts
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Exceptional communication skills with multiple engineering disciplines
