Job Description
The Sr. Program Manager (PM) will provide management and leadership direction for the design, development, and manufacturing of Avionics products. These corresponding programs may be customer defined (via contract) or Internal Research and Development (IR&D). The Sr. PM shall perform the following overarching duties:
- Manage all activities associated with the development, manufacturing, qualification testing and product delivery for Space and DoD Military & Aerospace Contracts;
- Lead proposal preparation in conjunction with BD (Business Development), PLM (Product Line Management), Engineering, Operations, and Proposal Management to determine program requirements, scope of work, scheduling, resources, budget, and risks; and
- Manage strategically important Aitech programs via initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing processes -- utilizing appropriate Tools and Techniques to effectively track and measure results, schedules, expenditures, labor, risks, sourcing and other aspects of the program (e.g. change management, reviews, communications, team direction, deliverables, etc.).
The Sr. PM acts as a primary interface between the customer, corporate team members, and partners providing regular status on achieving assigned program goals and objectives. The individual must be able to plan, organize, and manage multiple programs / projects of varying size and complexity and support the preparation of proposals in response to both commercial and government RFPs.
Additional duties may include contract negotiations through contract award, sourcing considerations, presenting briefings to company and customer management, stakeholder reviews and recommending process improvements for existing systems / products, and preparation/support of business cases for new business.
