Job Description
The Shop Helper is a temporary position that will performing the manual process of taking battery cables, cutting of miscellaneous parts and then peeling off the rubber coating to get to the copper.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Set up work area and equipment daily
- Using a cordless cutter remove extra pieces from each cable
- Operate electronic cable striping machine to slice coating off the copper cable
- Remove coating and separate all materials
- Clean up work area including all equipment
- Follows all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Technical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
- Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch Must be able and willing to wear a respirator.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Pays $19 - 20/hour
