Service Technician
Job Description
The Service Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and service activities at customer locations. This role helps ensure equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while providing excellent customer service.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Perform regularly scheduled maintenance of industrial batteries and related products.
- Complete basic repairs, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with installations and service-related projects.
- Communicate service findings and recommendations to customers.
- Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
- Use tools and equipment safely and properly.
- Identify and report safety or compliance concerns.
- Maintain assigned parts, tools, and inventory.
- Follow assigned schedules and service routes.
- Promote company products and services when appropriate.
- Complete work orders and service reports accurately and on time.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Coordinate with supervisors and team members to resolve service issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills / Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and dependable.
- Comfortable working independently.
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in maintenance, service, repair, installation, or a related role preferred.
- Customer-facing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting equipment is a plus.
Pay: $25/hr
