Job Description
Senior Staff IC CAD Engineer
We're looking for a highly motivated Senior Staff IC CAD Engineer to join our innovative engineering team and contribute to a rapidly evolving market landscape. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on technical depth, cross-functional collaboration, and process ownership in IC design environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Process Design Kits (PDKs) tailored to in-house fabrication technologies
- Provide comprehensive support across IC design CAD tools, including:
- Cadence schematic entry and mixed-signal simulation
- Physical layout, verification, logic synthesis, and place & route
- Custom SKILL code development and Mentor Calibre DRC/LVS/xRC runset generation
- Handle CAD software installation, licensing, user support, and act as the primary vendor interface
- Collaborate with IC layout and device engineers, offering guidance for tapeout processes, PCELL development, and power device layout optimization
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science
- 12+ years of relevant experience (or 10+ years with a Master's degree)
- Proven expertise in:
- PCELL and PDK development
- Creation of custom DRC/LVS/xRC runsets using Calibre tools
- SKILL scripting and/or similar automation languages
- Place & route tools (Encounter), Cadence VSR & EMIR
- Solid understanding of semiconductor process flows and IC manufacturing
- Experienced in supporting global design centers with CAD infrastructure
The annual base pay range for this position is $151,138- $218,139.
