SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER
Location: In Office, Westlake Village, CA
Compensation: $105,000 to $130,000 base

Overview
* Drive quality across connected hardware, firmware, cloud services, and dashboards
* Improve test coverage and reduce risk in production releases
* Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams
* Scale QA processes and validation workflows

Responsibilities
* Validate firmware, hardware, backend services, and dashboards prior to release
* Define testable quality expectations with engineering teams
* Participate in release readiness and risk assessments
* Reproduce and triage customer-impacting issues
* Support shipment-related validation as processes mature
* Contribute to automated testing across device, API, and UI layers
* Improve QA workflows, documentation, and test coverage
* Communicate quality risks and release readiness to stakeholders
* Partner with development partners to ensure delivery timelines

Requirements
* Experience testing IoT platforms, distributed systems, or cloud applications
* Familiarity with embedded firmware validation and hardware-integrated testing
* Experience validating APIs and backend services
* Strong test design, regression strategy, and risk-based testing skills
* Experience validating production releases and assessing customer impact
* Strong cross-functional communication skills
* Ability to identify quality gaps and communicate risk clearly
* Comfort operating in fast-paced product environments

Nice to Have
* Experience with test automation frameworks
* Scripting experience for automation
* CI pipeline familiarity
* Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or logistics environments
