Job Description

Reports to:  Vice President, Program Management Office
Overview:
Senior Manager, Program Management Office has oversight of the PMO to ensure programs and projects meet organizational goals and requirements.  The Sr. Manager PMO develops and implements PMO processes and policies, directs PMO project staff and works with other departments to define, prioritize and develop projects and programs.  This position also helps in the creation of functional strategies and specific objectives for the departments and assists with developing budgets/policies/procedure to support the internal infrastructure of MIS.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the methodologies of all service types within MIS businesses.
  • Supervise and oversee management of MIS toolsets.
  • Defines the overall objectives and key deliverables for the project.
  • Develops an annual road map for infrastructure services, and present to governance team.
  • Translate the project vision into program high level scope, design, and executables.
  • Identify activities on the critical path and ensure success on each.
  • Drive the IT Governance and Steering Committee Structure and ad hoc internal management processes regarding project decision points & challenges
  • Work with project managers to identify key issues and identify means to resolve
  • Establish project benchmarks and performance metrics.
  • Handle internal requests for tool enhancements, or new tool requests.
  • Staffing, scheduling, and onboarding MIS Tool/License Users including training and training material for staff.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and evaluating handbooks, manuals, protocols, and standards created by MIS
  • Work with MIS staff to maintain updated resource records within MIS Tools
  • Establish and implement effective workplace procedures.
  • Ensure policies and best practices are up to industry standards
  • Oversight of document repository practices in MIS
  • Developing cost/benefit analyses for spending and initiatives
  • Drive issue resolution, decision making, and accountability across all departments.
    1. Solve project issues and risks (technical and non-technical) by identifying, evaluating, tracking, communicating, and mediating including Go/No Go Project Activities

Job Requirements

Skills & Abilities:
  • Proven experience working in a managerial position.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Familiar with ERP & Program Management software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Develops and utilizes strong working relationships to ensure thorough and effective management of assigned project initiative(s)
  • Strong team working effort in project management and implementation is needed to ensure proper communication and coordination with other MIS Departments
  • Demonstrate technical competence to evaluate, present solutions to internal clients.
  • Able to travel to meetings and to attend conferences, as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working in a managerial position.
  • Over 5 years' experience in a delivery focused infrastructure project manager role
  • Troubleshoot problems with third party and custom developed applications.
  • Capability to assemble documentation related to software and hardware environments.
  • Provide leadership in the preventative and proactive practices.
  • Architect, plan, and manage applications into a production environment.
