Job Description
We're supporting a cutting-edge space and manufacturing company seeking a Senior Digital Systems Manager to lead the setup, maintenance, and optimization of their ERP and MES platforms. This position will oversee Odoo 17 (ERP) and ION (MES) systems, driving efficiency, data accuracy, and seamless connectivity across production operations.
This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, data, and manufacturing systems — ensuring that production technology scales effectively with company growth.
Key Responsibilities
System Management
- Oversee daily operations of Odoo 17 and ION systems, ensuring uptime, configuration accuracy, and data integrity.
- Manage updates, integrations, and troubleshooting in collaboration with IT and operations teams.
- Identify performance gaps and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure seamless integration of ERP/MES systems with other enterprise tools.
Production Optimization
- Analyze data from MES to identify bottlenecks and improve production flow.
- Develop and maintain SOPs within ERP/MES to standardize workflows and support quality control.
- Partner with production and supply chain teams to optimize scheduling, planning, and throughput.
User Training & Support
- Develop and deliver ERP/MES training programs for users across all departments.
- Provide ongoing support, resolve user issues, and incorporate feedback into system enhancements.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Extract and analyze production data to produce actionable insights.
- Build dashboards and reports that track KPIs tied to efficiency, quality, and delivery performance.
Project Management
- Lead ERP/MES system implementation and upgrade projects end-to-end, from requirements to deployment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align system enhancements with broader business goals.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years managing ERP/MES systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in Odoo 17 and ION system configuration, data management, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and quality systems.
- Proven project management experience with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating MES with shop floor data collection systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Familiarity with SQL or similar languages for custom data extraction and analysis.
- Awareness of emerging ERP/MES technologies and best practices.
