Summary
The Senior Accountant prepares financial reports, maintains accounting records, and ensures accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to work independently on complex tasks while supporting month-end and year-end close.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis
• Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
• Prepare management reports and financial analysis as needed

General Ledger and Accounting Operations
• Prepare journal entries
• Manage and review general ledger entries and account reconciliations
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain chart of accounts and ensure proper account coding

Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Oversee AP and AR processes and resolve complex issues
• Review vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment processing
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding items

Compliance and Controls
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies
• Support internal and external audits
• Maintain documentation for financial transactions
• Implement and monitor internal controls

Job Requirements
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred (or actively pursuing)

Experience
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting experience
• Public accounting experience is a plus

Technical Skills
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Odoo17, etc.)
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
