Job Description
We are seeking an individual who is accountable for ensuring that the testing of products meets all customer specifications and that the test equipment is available in a timely manner. The RF & Digital Test Engineer is responsible for the development and execution of Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and Qualification Test Procedures (QTP) as well as designing and building test equipment. This position involves working across departments within Regal to established user or customer requirements.
Essential Functions
* Using digital and RF equipment to test circuit card assemblies and troubleshoot down to the component-level
* Defining test equipment and organizational needs based on a provided test procedure
* Working with customer design teams to develop and document production test procedures
* Design, development, debugging, and maintenance of Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
* Perform testing on production electronics as well as oversee and assist test technicians in equipment and component diagnostics
* Analyze test results and work with manufacturing engineering team on root cause failure analysis to help improve manufacturing processes and first-pass yields
* Execute limited project management for test equipment fabrication and test station setup
* Maintain the highest ethical standards
* Performs other duties as required
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications/Skills
* Familiarity with the use of RF equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzer to both characterize and perform troubleshooting on circuit card assemblies
* Experience with component-level RF circuit troubleshooting, characterization, and optimization
* Experience with the development of test procedures
* Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of complex programs
* Excellent technical communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
* PC skills and proficient with Microsoft Office applications
* Able to obtain secret-level government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
* A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science discipline
* 8 or more years of experience as a Test Engineer
* Must be outgoing, self-motivated, well organized, detail oriented, work well under pressure and a creative problem solver
* Working knowledge of environmental testing
* Experience with LabVIEW and Visual C
* Proficiency using engineering tools such as schematic capture or CAD tools
* Project management of test engineering projects - moderate to complex
* Familiar with relevant military and industry Standards
* Experience designing automated test equipment for production testing
* Has an active secret-level or above security clearance
Salary range: $90K-$120K DOE
