Summary:
The Facilities Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment to support daily operations and overall workplace safety.
The Facilities Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment to support daily operations and overall workplace safety.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, breakrooms, and shared spaces.
- Sweep and mop floors in designated areas, including restrooms, breakrooms, and other common areas.
- Remove trash and recyclables from assigned locations, including the production floor.
- Perform basic cleaning and upkeep of outdoor grounds.
- Follow sanitation and quality guidelines to maintain a compliant facility.
- Use cleaning agents and supplies in accordance with safety and usage instructions.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Working knowledge of cleaning products and sanitizing procedures.
- Ability to safely operate basic power tools.
- Minor plumbing or carpentry skills are a plus.
Traits:
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic reading and writing skills in English.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Education & Experience:
- Prior experience as a custodian or janitor in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Familiarity with routine cleaning, waste disposal, and safety compliance.
- Skilled in tasks such as mopping, sweeping, sanitizing, and supply restocking.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $18 - $21 per hour
