Product Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a Product Manager to support a high-growth food category, focused on driving product performance, innovation, and market expansion. This role will own the full product lifecycle-from market analysis and strategy to new product development and go-to-market execution-while partnering cross-functionally across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze product performance including sales volume, market share, and competitive landscape to inform strategy
- Own and manage category-level P&L across channels
- Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure alignment with category growth strategy
- Conduct category and consumer analysis to identify gaps and drive product pipeline development
- Lead new product development (NPD) from concept through launch, including pricing, positioning, and packaging
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to support product launches and ongoing brand growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Sales, and external partners to execute marketing initiatives
- Manage external vendors (e.g., agencies, research partners) as needed
- Define product positioning, pricing, and packaging to support long-term growth and profitability
- Build and maintain a multi-year strategic roadmap for the category
- Manage full product lifecycle, including enhancements and SKU optimization
- Conduct and interpret consumer and market research; stay current on industry and competitive trends
- Develop marketing and sales collateral (e.g., sell sheets, presentations, digital content)
- Maintain organization of marketing assets and ensure materials are up to date
- Manage annual marketing budget and ensure effective allocation of resources
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Marketing, Business, or related field preferred); MBA a plus
- 3+ years of experience in product management, brand management, or innovation within CPG (food industry strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting both B2C and/or B2B channels
- Foundational understanding of P&L management and financial performance metrics
- Strong analytical capabilities, including experience working with market and POS data (e.g., syndicated data tools)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated interest or passion for the food industry
