Job Description
We are looking for a Plastics Fabrication Leadperson who will be responsible for leading and driving the quality and quantity of production of our Plastics Fabrication department as well as hands-on fabrication. This position will lead a team of 5-7 Plastics Fabricators, assigning projects and reviewing schedules, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools needed to complete their work, and confirming that they understand the specifications of the order and customer.
This position will also report daily progress and updates to the Plant Manager, assist with ordering parts and maintaining inventory, ensuring an organized and safe workspace for all team members, and keeping open channels of communication with all department heads.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
5-10 years of experience fabricating, and hot air welding plastics required
2-3 years of experience leading a team required
Demonstrated experience cutting, fitting, and hot air welding thermoplastic material including: polypropylene, PVC, CPVC, PVDF, and HDPE required
Experience with fabricating tanks, fume hoods, cabinets, and pans required
Ability to read, layout, make cut lists, and fabricate from blueprints and schematics required
Working knowledge of all shop tools and equipment i.e. drill press, table saws, band saws, routers, jig saws, etc. required
Possess a positive attitude, professional work ethics and be a team player required
Ability to communicate and work effectively with managers, field personnel, customers, and employees.
$25-35/hr. DOE
