Position Overview
We are seeking a PLC Programming Technician with a strong electrical background and a 'roll-up-your-sleeves' attitude. This is not a desk-only job-you'll be working with electrical panels, wiring, and control systems, and traveling to customer sites for installations and upgrades. Key Responsibilities
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen-Bradley Control Logix 5000 and/or Siemens TIA Portal PLC systems.
- Design and implement FactoryTalk Studio HMI interfaces.
- Work hands-on with motor control systems, medium and low voltage electrical systems, and control panels.
- Collaborate with engineering and field teams to support system integration and commissioning.
- Travel to customer sites (approx. 50% travel, primarily in the Midwest) for system installations, upgrades, and support.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Allen-Bradley 5000 and/or Siemens TIA Portal PLCs.
- Proficiency with FactoryTalk Studio, HMI development, and SCADA systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical wiring, panel building, and motor control systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time across the U.S.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on mindset.
Salary DOE - $100K+
