Job Description

You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organized warehouse while supporting both the Customer Service and Service teams. This position is hands-on and operational, covering inventory management, shipping and receiving, equipment operation, and coordination of local deliveries. The role is active and varied, with responsibilities that change day to day.

 

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and a consistent commitment to safe work practices.

Job Requirements

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Responsibilities typically include:

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-compliant warehouse environment
  • Loading and unloading trucks and preparing outbound shipments
  • Accurately fulfilling internal and customer orders in a timely manner
  • Supporting Customer Service and Service teams with parts, kits, and materials
  • Operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts and electric pallet jacks
  • Charging and handling batteries and working with material-handling equipment
  • Tracking inventory levels and maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Scheduling freight pickups and deliveries and completing Bills of Lading
  • Communicating professionally with freight carriers, team members, and customers
  • Completing local deliveries or pickups as needed

You may also perform basic DC power work (2V-120V) and take voltage measurements. All required training and personal protective equipment are provided.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a dependable, safety-focused individual who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

Required qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience in a non-production environment
  • Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification (training provided)
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment, including sit-down counterbalance forklifts and walkie electric pallet jacks
  • Willingness to work around live power and electrical systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle customer needs professionally, including in challenging situations
  • Ability to read and understand specifications, manuals, and technical documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • General computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Preferred but not required:

  • Knowledge of lead-acid batteries
  • Familiarity with the reserve power industry

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This is a physically active role performed primarily in a non-climate-controlled warehouse. The position requires the ability to:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs independently and heavier items with assistance
  • Push, pull, slide, and carry materials regularly
  • Bend, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and climb ladders as needed
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Safely operate hand and power tools

Work may occasionally take place in elevated areas, near electrical systems, or around moving mechanical equipment. Exposure to noise and vehicle operation is expected at times.

Safety, Equipment & Training

  • Required PPE, including safety glasses, face shields, gloves, and safety footwear
  • Warehouse, safety, and quality training
  • New hire orientation and ongoing annual training
  • Customer-required training (online, in-person, and web-based)

This position also requires:

  • An acceptable driving record
  • Annual drug testing
  • A background check in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements

 

$26-$28/hr
