Job Description

Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area is searching for a Junior Program Manager.  We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, BAE, and Raytheon.
 

SCOPE

Will work with directly with Program Managers in support and success of their respective programs; include both day to day priorities as well as long term tasks/goals
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Communicate with Program Managers on Program/Task Status
  2. Expedite/Manage Suppliers (Material Delivery Schedule, Coordination, Resolving Issues) 
  3. Collaborate with various internal Teams, such as Production, Receiving/Inspection, Supply Chain, Inventory, Quality, Engineering, etc. to support program needs
  4. Facilitate the process of ensuring that all customer and supplier requests/questions are addressed in a timely manner
  5. Create/Update delivery schedules 
  6. Update Bill of Material including Costing
  7. Clerical Duties including issuing Packing Slips, Delivery Notes, Purchase Order Updates, Contract Update, etc.

Job Requirements

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required (1-3 years work experience in lieu of)
  2. 0-3 years work experience in defense, engineering/manufacturing environment
  3. Understanding of Project Management Methodology
  1. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office
  1. Experience with MRP/ERP software (SAP preferred)
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  3. Team player, highly motivated to achieve program goals
  4. Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
 
Salary range $65,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
 
This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. Salary range $65,000 to $85,000
