Inventory & Logistics Specialist
Job Description
A leading company in the advanced manufacturing and technology sector is seeking an Inventory and Logistics Specialist. This role supports day-to-day inventory operations and shipping/receiving activities on-site. The specialist will help maintain material accuracy, streamline storage, and coordinate the movement of parts and assemblies across facilities to ensure smooth production and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inventory tasks: receiving, storing, issuing, kitting, and cycle counting
- Maintain traceability and accountability of materials in ERP systems
- Support inbound shipments from suppliers and outbound logistics to customers, test sites, and operations
- Follow established workflows for warehousing, handling, and shipping/receiving
- Collaborate with supply chain, production, and quality teams to ensure timely material availability
- Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability in logistics processes
Job Requirements
Job Requirements
- Experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics operations
- Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, or advanced manufacturing industries
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and standard inventory practices
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations, including hazardous materials
Salary: $75,000 yearly
