Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Manager of Transmission and Interconnection to support battery energy storage system (BESS) development across multiple U.S. markets. This part-time role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of interconnection processes and transmission planning in CAISO, PJM, SRP, MISO, TVA, and other key regions.
The ideal candidate has a strong background from a utility or engineering firm and is skilled at navigating interconnection studies, queue strategy, and grid integration. Experience collaborating with renewable energy developers is a strong plus.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with BESS interconnection across multiple markets, especially CAISO, PJM, SRP, MISO, and TVA.
- Background working at a utility or engineering firm.
- Proven ability to interpret interconnection studies and provide strategic recommendations.
- Familiar with transmission planning, congestion analysis, and queue management.
- Experience working with developers or on developer-led projects is a plus.
Compensation
- Pay: $100 - $140/hr
- Flexible, remote work schedule.
