Job Description
Help Desk Technician, you will be the first point of contact for our employees seeking technical assistance. You will play a crucial role in managing our ticket system, troubleshooting PC issues, and ensuring the seamless deployment of PCs and software. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in IT and gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ticket System Management: Monitor and manage the help desk ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- PC Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software issues on Windows 11 PCs.
- Onsite Support: Provide onsite technical support to employees, ensuring minimal disruption to their work.
- Windows 11 Support: Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows 11 operating systems.
- Microsoft Azure: Support basic tasks related to Microsoft Azure, including user management and access control.
- Software Troubleshooting: Perform first line troubleshooting for various software applications used within the company.
- PC Deployment: Assist with the deployment and setup of new PCs, ensuring they are ready for use by employees.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree in IT or a related field is a plus.
- 1-2 years in an IT support role a plus
- Have to have completed network, security and helpdesk courses
- Basic understanding of Windows 11 and Microsoft Azure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences;
- Ability to work in team environment and under minimal supervision;
- Ability to be self-directed, detailed oriented and work effectively under pressure in a diverse environment.
Hourly pay rate: $25-$40/hr DOE
