General Warehouse Associate

Job Description

We are hiring for warehouse associates in North San Diego County with the following capabilities:
Inventory Management (can vary by assignment)
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming inventory, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation for all items received and shipped
  • Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
Shipping and Receiving (can vary by assignment)
  • Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipments
  • Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness
  • Transport inventory by hand using material handling equipment (i.e. pallet jacks) in accordance with all safety procedures and protocol
Facility Maintenance (can vary by assignment)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks
  • Assist with the disposal of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed
  • This job may require being outdoors with exposure to the elements and fluctuating climate
  • May require you to be on your feet for the majority of the shift
Assembly (can vary by assignment)
  • Assist in the setup and installation of equipment according to provided instructions
  • Help in the assembly products by following diagrams and guidelines provided by senior team members
  • Handle basic tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete installation tasks.
At a minimum, you'll need: (can vary by assignment)
  • To be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
  • Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and the use of material handling equipment such as, hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks
  • Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks 
  • Use power equipment to assist the team with safely moving very heavy materials into position in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
It'd be great if you also have:
  • Additional education or certifications in a related field
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Handle basic tools and equipment safely and effectively 
  • Experience in using basic power tools
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively and safely in a team setting
  • Ensure a positive, respectful, and professional attitude in everything you do
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
  • Punctual and reliable

Job Requirements

Compensation: $17-22/hr DOE
