Top defense electronics company in Austin, Texas is looking for a degreed Financial Analyst to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

Development / management of budget and estimates to complete/estimate at completion
Interface with the Project Managers and Technical Leads to generate and validate cost and revenue forecasts for reasonable execution
Perform cost management and analysis to ensure contract performance is within negotiated budget using Earned Value Management techniques (as required)
Investigate project variances and assist with corrective action plans to remediate costs and schedule performance deviations
Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
Provide external and internal financial reporting (Executive Reviews)
Incorporate contractual changes into control systems to maintain contract cost and schedule baselines
Project billing: create/approve project related billings to customer; investigate unbilled expenses or outstanding billing; investigate write offs required than cannot be invoiced; monitor and manage accounts receivables on assigned projects
Close out projects upon completion

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
5+ years of project cost accounting experience on government contracts with exposure to DCMA and FARS
Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.
