Job Description

Our client is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer at thier offices in Irvine or Long Beach, CA - you could be a perfect fit. If you meet the qualifications below, we encourage you to apply today.


General Responsibilities

Pre-Design Engineering

  • Review existing as-built drawings.
  • Perform field investigations.
  • Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines.
  • Collaborate with team members regarding design coordination, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Perform feasibility studies.
  • Prepare schematic designs.


Design Engineering

  • Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE.
  • Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules.
  • Design lighting selection and controls.
  • Design normal, emergency, and renewable power systems.
  • Perform Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies.
  • Experience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) systems a plus

Job Requirements

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Field
  • Ability to clearly communicate via any media and in-person
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification a plus
  • LEED Accreditation a plus


 Working Knowledge

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • National Electrical Code
  • Net Zero Energy/Carbon experience a plus

Salary: $79,040 -$118,560
Level: Entry-Mid
