🏁 Dyno Technician – Motorsports
Location: Santa Clarita, CA
Pay Range: $32–$45/hour
Experience Required: 5+ years

Join a high-performance motorsports team where precision, innovation, and speed drive everything we do. We're looking for an experienced Dyno Technician to lead engine jig operations, support test cell activities, and manage gearbox systems in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
Engine Jig Lead
  • Maintain readiness and functionality of engine jigs
  • Install and remove engine jigs and exhaust systems
  • Perform post-run borescope inspections
  • Return engines to the Assembly Shop after testing
Test Cell Mechanical Support (as needed)
  • Install and remove engines from testbeds
  • Support engine laser alignment and exhaust system setup in test cells
Chassis Gearbox Lead
  • Assemble, rebuild, and maintain gearboxes and axles
  • Track component hours, manage changeout cycles, and maintain detailed records
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchase orders
  • Interface with vendors for technical procedures, quotes, and hardware needs
  • Work with gearbox components including geartrains, driveshafts, axles, clutches, and input shafts
General Fabrication Support
  • Assist with fabrication tasks including TIG welding, lathe/mill work, fixture building, and fluid line assembly
Special Initiatives
  • Support oil and fuel delivery, drum storage, and waste disposal
  • Participate in other test-related activities as assigned

Job Requirements

🛠️ Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Advanced mechanical skills and tool proficiency (measuring, general tools)
  • Hands-on experience with internal combustion engines and transmissions
  • Familiarity with dyno testing hardware and instrumentation is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Professional, respectful demeanor with strong communication skills
  • Quick problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends on short notice
  • Receptive to feedback and direction from leadership and team members
