Job Description

Purpose:
This role is responsible for leading the Manufacturing, Mechanical & Tool Engineering as well as Document Control departments with a focus on overseeing all manufacturing engineering functions and ensuring there is cross functional alignment to provide engineering support and resolve internal and external customer issues.

Job Duties:
The primary function of this role is overseeing all elements of manufacturing engineering in support of Operations. Supply Chain, Program Office and Quality departments to meet safety, quality, cost and delivery expectations.
  1. Ensure the processes, organizational capability and culture combine to consistently meet internal and external customer needs.
  2. Create and monitor objectives, goals, strategies and metrics for the manufacturing engineering teams.
  3. Lead development and adoption of performance measures to establish and achieve optimal process cycle times.
  4. Instill a high level of ownership and sustained accountability in meeting or exceeding effectiveness expectations of departmental processes.
  5. Evaluate and guide improvement in manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency.
  6. Analyze, staff and allocate resources accordingly to support company top level goals.
  7. Communicate clearly & effectively on performance expectations and results, along with any mitigating actions.
  8. Conduct regular one-on-ones with team members to mentor, develop and grow their capabilities.


Job Requirements

Job Requirements consist of educationskills, trainingand competency of Internal Procedures listed and Associated Documents:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  2. 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering and 5+ years experience managing teams in multiple departments with a proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks
  3. Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  4. Strong organization, leadership and influencing skills
  5. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously                             
  6. Must be able to build collaborative cross functional relationships with internal, customers and across the organization 
  7. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  8. Ability to implement innovative solutions to complex problems through technology, automation, partnerships and leveraging of resources
  9. Ability to read engineering drawings with a strong understanding of GD&T
  10. Strong background using ERP systems to create Material Masters, BOMs, Routings and manage TOP Configuration (SAP experience a plus)
  11. Knowledge of CAD design software (CATIA, SolidWorks)
  12. Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  13. Good computer skills required (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CAD, etc.)
  14. LEAN experience and Belt certification a plus

Salary Range $180K - $200K
