Job Description

Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. With a 50+ year foundation, our client supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

Scope:
Responsible for installation, repair, diagnostics and test of military automotive Environmental Control Systems and Auxiliary Power Units, as a member of our Product Development team.

Job Duties:
  1. Install and test automotive air conditioning systems
  2. Mechanical assembly, integration and testing of Auxiliary Power Units
  3. Trouble-shoot air conditioning systems & diesel engines and generators for malfunctions and diagnose problems
  4. Perform verification and acceptance testing on development and production assemblies

Job Requirements

Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of experience working in machine shops or assembly shops. Preferably with a Defense contractor
  2. H.S. Diploma or GED is required
  3. Working knowledge of engines, generators and related components
  4. Must be able to read and understand drawings and specifications
  5. Self-motivated and can work with little supervision
  6. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  7. Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic a plus
  8. Basic computer skills
  9. Good communication skills
  10. Strong work ethic and team player
  11. Must be able to speak/read/write English
  12. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Seeking experience with diesel or any kind of engines and/or vehicle HVAC systems.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. All applicants must be 'U.S. persons' within the meaning of ITAR, as defined: a U.S. Citizen, a lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.
