Job Description
Position Overview
The Development Project Manager (Consultant) will support the advancement of a portfolio of early- and mid-stage standalone energy storage projects across the U.S., with a primary focus on the West Coast. The contractor will play a key role in driving several priority projects toward Final Notice to Proceed (FNTP) by coordinating internal stakeholders, managing external vendors, and maintaining project-level accountability across scope, schedule, and budget.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day development activities for a portfolio of energy storage projects, from early-stage through mid-stage and up to FNTP.
- Coordinate and track all project workstreams, including permitting, interconnection, engineering, and procurement.
- Direct and oversee third-party vendors and consultants, including, but not limited to:
- Land use planners
- Fire and safety engineering experts
- Civil and electrical engineers
- Land use counsel
- Interconnection consultants and utility liaisons
- Collaborate with internal teams, including, but not limited to:
- Legal
- Tax
- Real Estate
- Finance
- Communications
- Government Affairs
- Manage and update project schedules, development budgets, and permit matrices.
- Prepare materials for investment committee and executive updates.
- Support commercial activities related to EPC bidding, offtake structuring, and marketing of projects to potential buyers and partners.
- Monitor market and regulatory changes relevant to project execution.
Pay: $60 - $75/hr
