Purpose:
The DAS (Distributed Antenna System) Technician II is responsible for the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of DAS.
Responsibilities:
- Installs, tests and troubleshoots DAS installations.
- Performs testing (line sweeping and PIM, as well as fiber).
- Performs fusion splicing.
- All other duties as required.
Skills / Other:
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented.
- Self-motivated.
- Willing to travel extensively, up to 75% away from local area.
Job Requirements
Education/ Training:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- OSHA 10, CPR, and First Aid are a plus.
- Knowledgeable with EMT conduits, preferred.
- Knowledgeable of various OEM and connection types.
- Regular operation of communications equipment in a mobile environment (cellphone, laptop, etc.).
- Working knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Familiar with multiple DAS manufacturers and their equipment, helpful.
- Regular operation of communications equipment in a mobile environment (cellphone, laptop, etc.).
Experience:
- 2+ Year of experience working with DAS.
- RF experience
Compensation: $26-$28/hr
