Job Description
Position Summary
The Corporate Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and improving maintenance activities across multiple organizational sites. This role involves implementing preventive maintenance strategies, facilitating effective communication between maintenance and operations teams, and driving initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Support new projects by incorporating preventive maintenance plans for new equipment into the CMMS.
- Accurately define tasks, estimate labor hours, and identify tools and resources needed to execute work orders.
- Standardize and create maintenance schedules aligned with organizational goals across all sites.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between maintenance and operations.
- Facilitate timely and efficient communication between maintenance teams and internal stakeholders.
- Plan downtimes to optimize performance, reduce equipment failures, and minimize production disruptions.
- Assist sites in setting job goals and objectives for maintenance staff.
- Consolidate spare parts inventory to reduce excess stock.
- Lead global updates and improvements to CMMS systems.
- Provide ongoing CMMS training and serve as the administrator for system changes.
- Drive improvements to preventive maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with controlled documentation processes.
- Maintain and oversee maintenance records for all sites.
- Use CMMS data to generate reports on maintenance KPIs and create dashboards highlighting equipment status (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, availability, PM completion rates).
- Act as the organization's Total Preventive Maintenance champion.
Additional Requirements
- Must be available to travel within Canada and the USA approximately 20% of the time.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently and provide direction to team members.
- Proficiency in identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and expertise in CMMS systems.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of practical planning experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $78,000 - $82,000/year DOE
