Job Description - Construction Lead Worker (Wireless/Cellular Infrastructure)
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Construction Lead Worker to support cellular infrastructure projects, including the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of wireless sites. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in cellular construction who are comfortable with a fast-paced, travel-intensive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and lead advanced civil construction tasks related to wireless site builds, modifications, and upgrades.
Operate specialized equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, and concrete tools.
Interpret and work from construction drawings, site plans, and carrier specifications.
Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Coordinate with tower crews, electricians, project managers, and other field personnel to complete work on schedule.
Cross-train and assist with various wireless construction disciplines including electrical, site grounding, power systems, and fiber optic installation.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in wireless or telecom infrastructure construction.
Strong understanding of cellular site components (e.g., monopoles, rooftops, shelters, small cells).
Experience in operating equipment like man lifts, scissor lifts, mini ex, skid steer, trench rammers, drills, pneumatic hammers etc.
Physical ability to perform demanding labor in varying weather and job site conditions. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand for extended periods of time.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
Familiarity with safety protocols; OSHA 10/30 and RF Awareness certifications preferred.
Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Travel Requirement:
Must be willing and able to travel up to 90% of the time. Travel will include overnight stays and extended assignments across regions.
Education/Training:
H.S. Diploma or GED.
