Job Description
Seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist who is available to work onsite in Fullerton, CA. This opportunity is with a company who primarily operates in the residential, new construction business/industry within the General Contractors & Operative Builders sector. The person in this role will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts and managing vendor relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Payable vendor and subcontractor accounts
- Maintain accurate records of payments and invoices
- Full cycle AP processing, 150+ invoices per week including 3-way matching
- Receiving, logging and routing invoices for approval
- Entering invoices to purchase orders and/or directly to extensive job cost code system
- Reconcile vendor and subcontractor account statements to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate with accounts receivable to obtain releases from vendor and subcontractors
- Prepare and process payment checks for signature and distribution to vendors
- Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal staff
- Assist with related month-end close activities
- Perform other office duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in high volume environments
- 3+ years of experience in Construction Accounting
- Strong knowledge of preliminary notices, releases and joint check processing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to work onsite Monday - Friday (typical hours: 7am to 4pm)
