Job Description
The Commercial PV Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations at photovoltaic (PV) worksites to ensure the completion of projects in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Extensively communicates with Project Managers, office staff, and crew members.
- Provides leadership and supervises crews.
- Works alongside the crew(s) and leads by example.
- Ensures the safety of crew members.
- Adheres to OSHA guidelines and company safety policies and procedures.
- Chooses efficient and cost-effective methods to accomplish assigned projects.
- Follows project plans and schedules, ensuring crews meet production goals.
- Encourages participation in scheduling decisions.
- Consults with internal departments for efficient resource allocation.
- Works with the crew to overcome work challenges.
- Manages supplies and inventory.
- Resolves issues/problems among/between crew members.
- Inspects and measures completed work.
- Maintains logs and site reports.
- Reports on work progress and completes job quality reports.
- Performs daily timekeeping and reporting.
- Runs his own jobs, managing all aspects from start to finish.
- Utilizing conventional labeling of homeruns with inverter, string and MPPT.
- Pulling homeruns into an inverter.
- Installs and works with panel inverters.
- Performs other duties as required.
Skills/Other:
- Knowledgeable of and attentive to company and project safety programs, OSHA, and environmental issues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Coaches and teaches crew members.
- Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Organizes and delegates work.
- Team player.
- Able to travel locally.
Education/Training:
- High School graduate or equivalent, required; or 6-12 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Ability to read plans/layouts/drawings.
- The company will provide leadership training and mentorship as needed.
- Clean and current driver's license (MVR check) in the applying state.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience as a qualified and competent tradesperson.
Pay: $40-$45/hr
