Job Description
Position Overview
We're looking for a skilled Business Systems Support Specialist to join our innovative team. In this role, you'll deliver technical support and expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), ensuring the system operates smoothly, is well-configured, and meets organizational needs. This position plays a key role in assisting users, resolving technical challenges, and streamlining workflows within Business Central to drive efficient operations and maintain data accuracy.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
User Support
- Serve as the main point of contact for Business Central users, providing prompt and effective support for system-related issues.
Troubleshooting
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical problems within Business Central, escalating more complex issues as necessary.
System Configuration
- Support the configuration, customization, and updates of Business Central to align with business objectives.
System Optimization and Maintenance
- Regularly assess the system to identify opportunities for enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements to boost efficiency and minimize manual work.
Data Management
- Conduct audits to ensure data accuracy and resolve any issues affecting data integrity.
Documentation
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system settings, troubleshooting processes, and user instructions.
Project Involvement
- Collaborate on system implementation, migration, and upgrade projects, working with cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes.
Training
- Offer training sessions and ongoing support to users on how to leverage Business Central effectively.
Collaboration
- Partner with IT and other departments to align system operations with overall organizational goals.
Enhancements
- Identify areas for improvement, such as workflow automation and optimization, and coordinate with stakeholders and developers to implement changes.
Compliance
- Ensure Business Central aligns with internal policies and regulatory data standards.
Required Skills
Technical Proficiency
- In-depth understanding of Business Central modules and configurations.
- Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, and experience developing reports in Business Central.
- Bonus: Knowledge of tools like Power BI, Power Automate, or related Microsoft products.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration across departments.
- Organizational and multitasking skills to manage priorities effectively.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in business systems support, with expertise in ERP or CRM systems.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Knowledge of additional platforms (MES, CMMS, QMS) and experience in a manufacturing setting are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility.
