Job Description
🏎️ Dyno Technician - Motorsports
Location: Santa Clarita, CA
Pay Range: $28-$38/hour
Experience Required: 2+ years
Join a fast-paced motorsports team where precision, performance, and innovation drive everything we do. We're seeking a skilled Dyno Technician to support engine and component testing, ensuring our vehicles deliver peak performance on and off the track.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Install and remove engines and components from test cells and benches
- Set up specialized instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, PID, accelerometers, etc.)
- Configure test profiles, operating parameters, and safety limits
- Execute dyno tests under the direction of the dyno engineering team
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of test cells and equipment
- Analyze run data, document findings, and generate reports and user manuals
- Support additional test-related activities as needed
Job Requirements
🛠️ Required Skills & Experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools, measuring devices, and calibration equipment
- In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines; familiarity with electrification hardware is a plus
- Experience with dyno testing hardware and instrumentation preferred
- Familiarity with dyno operation software (PUMA, National Instruments NI) is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic work environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and accountability for results
- Professional demeanor with respect for team members and feedback
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends on short notice
