Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance power testing instruments and systems-from AC/DC power sources and electronic loads to digital power meters and automated testing solutions used in LED lighting, aerospace, defense, automotive, medical, battery, solar, marine, and regulatory testing.
We are looking for a Service Repair Technician to support our growing Service & Repair team. This role is ideal for a technician with strong AC power electronics experience who enjoys diagnosing complex issues, performing precise calibrations, and working hands-on with cutting-edge test equipment.
What You'll Do
• Complete RMA repairs and calibrations within the department's 8-10-day turnaround goals
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical/electronic issues to component or board level
• Determine warranty status by evaluating design specs, application use, and failure root cause
• Collaborate with the Service Repair Manager on material planning and inventory control
• Maintain and improve key repair KPIs
• Replicate customer setups to assess escalated issues and provide accurate resolutions
• Read schematics and apply AC/electronic theory to solve real-world equipment problems
• Perform calibration procedures on a variety of Chroma power instruments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
• Manage time effectively to meet or exceed repair resolution targets
• Follow OSHA and internal quality/safety guidelines at all times

Job Requirements
What You Bring
* 3-4+ years of experience in AC power electronics
OR
AA/Bachelor's degree in a related field with 1-2 years of relevant experience
* Strong understanding of power instrument calibration methods (power, medical, battery systems)
* Experience troubleshooting LEDs, EV systems, fuel cells, battery regen systems, power supplies, etc.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced lab environment
* Solid inventory control knowledge to support daily repair tasks
* Professional communication, detail-focused mindset, and strong documentation skills
* Proficiency in MS Office and general computer use
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and follow structured procedures
OR

Pay Range: $20 - $31/hr
