Job Description

The Avionics Hardware Team designs, assembles, and tests the electrical systems that power, control, and monitor spacecraft and launch vehicles. From PCB assemblies to harness integrations, the team blends engineering precision with hands-on execution to support every stage of launch.

We're seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer or experienced High-Level Technician to join the team. In this role, you'll support lab operations, harness fabrication, PCB rework, and electrical testing. You'll work closely with engineers to execute test procedures, maintain lab setups, and help ensure flight avionics hardware is built and tested to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support daily lab operations including equipment setup, test execution, and data collection.
  • Operate Apollo test procedures and accurately document results.
  • Perform soldering and rework on PCB assemblies and harness terminations.
  • Assemble and modify cable and harness assemblies using standard drawings and work instructions.
  • Interpret harness drawings and lab schematics to support builds and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain lab benches, tools, and test equipment for an organized and safe environment.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers during integration and debug activities.
  • Contribute to test reports, documentation updates, and configuration tracking.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Soldering and rework experience, ideally with IPC or NASA certifications (e.g., J-STD-001, IPC-620).
  • Familiarity with standard lab equipment such as soldering stations, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Experience assembling cables and harnesses, including crimping, pinning, and connector work.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, harness drawings, and test procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting aerospace or avionics hardware development.
  • Exposure to environmental or flight hardware testing.
  • Experience generating test reports or updating lab procedures.
