Accounting Specialist
Job Description
About Us:
- Processes accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Performs day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Processes, verifies and reconciles invoices
- Processes vendor invoices into the accounting system
- Processes credit card transactions into the accounting system
- Assists in weekly check run
- Reconciles payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate
- Performs banking functions, online (and potentially in-person visits).
- Tracks and monitors expenses.
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts
- Assists in billing and accounts receivable assignments
- Assists supervisor with any ad-hoc assignments
- Assists with audits
- Provides administrative and clerical support
- All other duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Able to Spend Time Sitting for Long Periods of Time
- Use Keyboard; Computer Apps and able to Physically See Screens
- Spend Time Making Repetitive Motions
- Work Indoors in a Controlled Environment
- Use Calculators, Fax Machines; Laptop and Cell Phones
- Work Under Time Pressure
- Knowledgeable, tactful and confidential communicator with vendors, clients and internal staff.
- Analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Able to multi-task.
- Able to work independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, preferred. Will consider undergraduate working towards Accounting degree.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and spreadsheets.
- Proficient with Microsoft Teams and Outlook
- SAGE MAS 500 strongly preferred
